Joe is passionate about helping people experience the joys of life while also growing and learning through the challenges and pain that life can bring. He utilizes a client centered approach in therapy and helps his clients to identify what changes they would like to work towards in therapy with gentle guidance and reassuring support.
Joe listens to his clients and helps them to gain clarity in understanding their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. He works with his clients to help them to produce practical solutions to live full well-rounded lives. He wants his clients to know that their circumstances are not hopeless, and they are not helpless in their situation. He wants them to know that he’s here for them and together he will help them find their way to hope again.
Joe acquired his Master's degree in professional counseling from Lindenwood University and has worked in the school systems as well as in private practice. Joe works with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD,trauma, grief, PTSD, mood disorders, self-esteem issues, and social anxiety and utilizes techniques from DBT, CBT, Mindfulness/Meditation, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
