Sabryn Cox, LCPC
Sabryn provides individual and couples counseling with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia as well as Gottman Based Couples Counseling (Sabryn is trained as a Level II Gottman Counselor). Additionally, Sabryn assists clients with life transitions, for example, parent/child relational problems, divorce adjustment concerns, mid-life challenges, or eldercare issues. She combines a strengths-based approach where she assists in identifying and encouraging a client's internal resources and abilities with evidence-based strategies to help clients thrive throughout through these challenging times. Pairing her empathetic nature with her sense of humor, clients feel comfortable and at-ease with Sabryn.
While Sabryn is especially skilled in couples counseling and areas relating to life transitions, she has a bank of clinical experience rendering her effective with with many issues, including trauma, grief, depression, stress, anxiety, and confidence. A trademark of Sabryn's therapy is the customization of her approach to an individual client's situation and needs. Well-versed in many clinical approaches, Sabryn collaboratively works with clients to assess and tailor her interventions to meet the specific needs of each client she meets.
Sabryn has worked with adults and youth in a variety of settings, including residential, outreach, services and local community organizations. She has a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO, and has completed training in Traumatic Stress Studies from the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute in Boston, MA. Separate from her counseling practice, Sabryn also has professional experience in yoga and personal training.
